Textured patterned paper, called Anaglypta, is popular for both
contemporary as well as period and vintage homes
Here are pictures of our masterpiece project: a gorgeous 1896 Victorian mansion in Capitol Hill featuring all original
woodwork, that we lavishly restored to its period character with famous Bradbury & Bradbury Victorian reproduction
papers.  It was one of 9 distinctive homes featured in the Capitol Hill Victorian Christmas Home Tour.
Here are two rooms in another Victorian home we renovated, showing textured Anaglypta paper on the
ceiling and a Lincrusta frieze border on the wall.  The right picture is of the kitchen ceiling which we
sprayed with metallic copper paint to simulate the appearance of the original tin ceiling.  Many thought it
was the original tin ceiling!
An 1896 house with all the original tile and bathroom fixtures
just cant have powder blue ceilings and white painted trim.
That's just wrong. Refinishing the woodwork, some Bradbury
paper on the walls and imitation tin ceiling with medallion
looks slightly better, don't you think?
